    Arriving at the Airport:

What are my options in getting to the airport quickly?
NEVER leave your luggage unattended at any time. Make sure you arrive early at the airport to avoid long line-ups or a flight-miss. Find out from wither the airport or your travel agent which terminal you should be departing from.

If driving, call ahead to find out about parking for the duration of the time you will be away and the directions to the parking lot (if different from regular parking).

If getting a ride off of someone, make sure they know the way to the airport and the terminal from which your flight departs. Not all airports have convenient parking facilities so avoid stopping or standing in zones that do not have meter parking available. Most airports are really busy and it takes very little time to get a car towed away due to improper parking. Some airports have two types of regular parking. Long-term parking and short-term parking. If your ride does not plan to stay very long then short-term parking is usually cheaper than meter parking.

If you plan to get a taxi cab, call a cab ahead of time to assure your arrival at the airport. Make sure your luggage is small enough to fit in a single cab. Some cab drivers will not carry over a certain size or a certain weight. Call the cab company ahead of time to avoid such headaches.

    1. Sometimes, it is less expensive to have your vehicle insured under fire and theft only instead of the regular insurance.  This saves you some money while giving your vehicle the appropriate protection while you're gone.
